It must be found, not farmed …

NOT ALL MEZCALES ARE
CREATED EQUAL

Some are mass-produced, their “authenticity” poured from a contract. Others are clean, but forgettable.

ONE OF US Mezcal is neither.

Crafted by a third-generation Maestro Mezcalero, their Cuishe mezcal is distilled at their very own palenque in Oaxaca, Mexico. Bottled by hand. Additive-free. Unmistakably bold.

We spoke with Roza & Marco, founders of ONE OF US, and here’s how they described their spirit:

Bottle & Barrel: We’re really enjoying your Cuishe (pronounced Kwee-sheh) mezcal, and while it clearly stands on its own, why do you think it’s so different from anything else out there?

We believe there’s a void in the mezcal category. While some brands at the high end of the market carry weight, many aren’t additive-free. And while there are brands that truly care about quality, there still isn’t a real option for the luxury consumer.” Roza said.

“And that’s where ONE OF US comes in, as the answer, for those seeking an elevated profile and bottle to match their discerning taste and lifestyle. We don’t believe in products that are just pricey. There’s a difference between expensive and worth it. Our Cuishe mezcal has been meticulously crafted, from the juice to the bottle design, for those who value reverence over mass-production, and exclusivity over trend.” Marco added.

Bottle & Barrel: We’re very excited for everyone to experience it. But you only brought 7,200 bottles to the U.S., right?

“Yes, a true small-batch. We’re focused on quality over quantity. These agaves don’t grow overnight. Especially the Cuishe we use, not only it grows wild in the sierras of Oaxaca and can take up to 14 years to mature! Like truffles, it is foraged, not farmed. We’re committed to respecting the land, our team, and the process, so our customers receive something rare, pure, and truly worthy of their preference and special occasions.” Both noted.

Bottle & Barrel: Well, we certainly believe you two have created something unique and exquisite.

“Thank you. We’re delighted to hear you guys are loving ONE OF US.” – Marco & Roza

Where is it being poured, you may ask ...

GUCCI OSTERIA – RODEO DRIVE

Yes, that Rodeo Drive.

Gucci Osteria Beverly Hills, the flagship restaurant of the famed fashion house, loved ONE OF US because when it comes to mezcal, the best don’t compromise.

They’ve only just launched a few months ago, and will be sharing more with Bottle & Barrel as additional establishments begin to carry them.

… and, if you’ve ever been burned by an average mezcal …

YOU’RE NOT ALONE

Many first-time mezcal drinkers didn’t have the best experience. More often than not, it was something generic, made with shortcuts, maybe added sugars, or simply masked in a fancy bottle. I know that was me.

That’s why we want to bring more knowledge into this great mezcal category. At Bottle & Barrel, we stand behind brands that, in our opinion, respect nature enough to let her speak.

And on that note, Marco & Roza from ONE OF US shared their latest ad with us, and our readers get the first look.

We loved it … and actually, we agree with it.

You can now experience this exquisite mezcal …
